The star of David is a six pointed star that is two triangles that overlap. One is upside down and one is not. In Judaism it is often called the Magen David, which means the "shield of David" in Hebrew. The symbol hasn't always been associated exclusively with Judaism, but was used by Christians and Muslims at on point in history. In World War II, Hitler forced Jews to wear a yellow badge in this design for identification.
